Privacy Policy

SpeedGuardian Pro is built privacy-first. The short version: your location and driving data stay on your device. We do not sell data, we do not run third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we cannot see where you drive.

Location data

The app uses your device's location to display the posted speed limit and preview upcoming speed zones. Location processing happens on your device. Individual coordinates are sent to our map-data providers — HERE Technologies and OpenStreetMap (Overpass API) — solely to look up the posted speed limit for a road segment. These lookups are not linked to your identity by us, and we do not store them. Provider processing is governed by their privacy policies (HERE: legal.here.com/privacy; OpenStreetMap Foundation: osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy).

Driving events and reports

Over-threshold and harsh-driving events used for your weekly report are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded to us. Deleting the app permanently deletes them.

Subscriptions and payments

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive anonymized transaction records from Apple to validate your subscription. We never see your payment details.

What we don't collect

• No account creation — we hold no name, email, or profile for you
• No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
• No sale or sharing of personal data — with anyone, ever
• No tracking across other apps or websites

Data retention and your rights

Because your driving data never leaves your device, you hold it — deleting the app is a complete erasure, no request required. Depending on where you live (including California and the EU/EEA), you may have statutory rights to access, correct, or delete personal data and to opt out of its sale or sharing; since we do not collect or sell personal data, these rights are satisfied by design. If you believe we hold any personal data about you (for example, a support email you sent us), contact us and we will access, export, or delete it on request.

Children

The Service is intended for licensed drivers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and note material changes in the app.
